Deity THEOS UHF Antennas

US vs Global Version

If you purchased a global Theos unit it will come with uncut antennas, while the US version will come with precut antennas.

If you purchase additional antennas, you will need to cut them according to the following guide.

Antenna Length

The length of the antenna dictates which frequencies it can send and receive.

Luckily getting antennas with a custom length is easy using Deity’s UHF-RA and UHF-TA.

Reference Chart

When you open the box you’ll see a double-sided length reference chart for the antennas, with UHF-RA on one side and UHF-TA on the other.

The charts are 1:1 so place the antenna onto its respective chart, aligning the connector with the line drawing.

The bottom of both should be congruent. Make note of which frequency band you need and find its corresponding cut mark on the chart.

Using the Chart

The charts are 1:1 so place the antenna onto its respective chart, aligning the connector with the line drawing.

The bottom of both should be congruent. Make note of which frequency band you need and find its corresponding cut mark on the chart.

Example

For example, if you’d like a transmitter antenna to work with 733MHz, according to the chart you will need to cut the antenna at T4.

The receiver equivalent to cut will be R4.

Mark your cut

Use a silver Sharpie or other marker to denote where the cut should be made.

Proper cutting tool

Note, this is heavy gauge antenna wire so household scissors will not cut it, you’ll need a proper set of wire cutters.

Antenna Caps

Once cut, use one of the included antenna caps to protect and label the cable. What color cap to use is listed on the chart.

For the T4 length selected, you need a yellow cap.

Find your Frequency

On the Deity website, we list the frequency ranges for over 60 countries.

Find your local range and follow the directions on the reference chart for its corresponding antenna cut length.

You’re Up and Running

With that, your antennas are ready to be attached to your devices.
