PROTECTED AUDIO. POCKET-SIZED.
PR-2ii is a wearable-first recorder built for videographers, small crews, and creators who cannot afford to lose audio due to wireless signal issues—it combines 32-bit float recording technology, a new cleaner dual-ADC preamp, 20+ hours of battery life, wired and wireless timecode, and Sidus Audio control in one pocket-sized tool.

Built for the Shot You Cannot Repeat
The best take is often the one you cannot recreate. PR-2ii is designed to disappear into the production while protecting the audio behind it—on talent, planted in a scene, mounted to a rig, or working outdoors beyond the operator’s reach.
● Cleaner Dual-ADC Audio
● IP54 Dust & Splash Resistance
● PSRAM Buffer; Audio File Protection
● 20+ Hours of Battery Life
Better Sound, From First Take to Final Mix
PR-2ii’s dual-ADC preamp architecture delivers lower self-noise and greater dynamic range, helping quiet dialogue stay detailed while sudden loud moments remain recoverable in 32-bit float. You get more usable audio on the first take—and more room to shape it in post.
With an internal-recording dynamic range of 124 dB or higher and an EIN rated at -117 dBV (A-weighted, 36 dB gain, 150 ohm source), PR-2ii captures cleaner, more detailed sound across demanding production environments. The improved preamp performance carries into both stereo 24-bit and mono 32-bit float workflows.

Every Take, Protected
When the recorder is hidden on talent or planted out of reach, an interrupted file can turn into an expensive reshoot. PR-2ii combines PSRAM-backed audio buffering with Deity’s recording protection to help preserve usable audio when a recording is unexpectedly interrupted or a file is corrupted.

Built for the Conditions Behind the Shot
Recorders are often placed where the operator cannot constantly protect them: hidden under wardrobe, planted inside a vehicle, mounted on a camera rig, or working outdoors. PR-2ii’s IP54 rated enclosure helps resist dust and splashes so the recorder can keep working through changing weather, sweat, and the everyday abuse of location production. A new rubber gasket seal has also been added around the battery compartment.
A tougher 6H tempered-glass screen cover and button-based controls create a stronger face than the previous model.
Fast Setup. Clean Audio.
PR-2ii helps crews move from setup to a clean recording with less technical friction. Built-in gain presets for popular lavaliers—including DPA 4060/4061, Sennheiser MKE 2, Countryman B3, and Shure TL47—provide a practical starting level fast.
One-touch recording, 75 Hz and 150 Hz low-cut filters, intelligent noise reduction, and a soft-knee limiter help stabilize audio in changing environments. The result is a faster workflow for experienced operators and a more forgiving path to usable sound for smaller crews.

Timecode That Keeps Moving With You
Wireless Timecode Support
Keep sound and picture moving together without rebuilding your sync workflow around the recorder.
PR-2ii can receive wireless timecode from the Deity timecode ecosystem and wired timecode through its 3.5mm connection. The PR-2ii falls in line with the rest of our timecode ecosystem;
- TC-1 Timecode Box
- TC-SL1 Timecode Slate
- THEOS Wireless Ecosystem
- PR-4 Compact Multitrack Recorder
And of course… other PR-2ii units.
Sidus Audio App
When PR-2ii is on talent or planted somewhere you cannot reach, Sidus Audio brings the recorder back to you. Start and stop recording, check status, adjust key settings, and monitor over Bluetooth from a supported iOS or Android device.

USB Timecode Support
The 3.5mm connection can bring timecode in or send it out during recording, including LTC and ATC workflows for cameras and other production gear.
You can also output timecode via USB-C which is compatible with XTRA, DJI, and Insta360 cameras.
